Solar communities
Solar Communities are made up of Solar Hosts, rooftop owners who offer their roofs for solar panel installation, and Subscribers, residents located within 2 km of these installations. They all jointly benefit from the solar installation.
Your solar energy with collective self-consumption
Solar Subscribers benefit from the energy generated by solar panels installed on the roof of a Solar Host. The only requirement to participate is to be within 2 kilometers of the installation. Subscribers enjoy solar energy without installations, without the need to apply for permits or have a roof. Solar Hosts benefit from a source of income thanks to the roof lease. Additionally, they can save on their electricity bills if they also participate as Subscribers, receiving a portion of the energy generated. It couldn't be better!

Anyone within the solar community's area of influence, i.e., within 2 km. This includes homeowners, businesses, residential communities, and other types of building owners.
Factorenergia is responsible for the investment required for the installation, as well as performing the necessary maintenance to ensure the installation operates properly throughout its entire lifespan. Hosts and subscribers needn't worry about anything; they can simply enjoy the benefits of being connected.
A collective self-consumption system allows several users to benefit from the energy produced by a solar panel installation. Here's how it works:
- Power Generation: Solar panels are installed in a central location, such as the roof of a building or a shared structure.
- Energy Distribution: The generated energy is distributed hourly among participating users. These users can be residents of the same building or homes within a distance of less than 2 km.
- Energy Measurement and Savings: You can control your participation from the Factorenergia App and see all your savings generated thanks to self-consumption.
This is one of the requirements that must be met to participate in shared self-consumption, according to current regulations. It is based on the maximum distance between the photovoltaic plant and each participant.
